10 video works from 10 years of Galleria Huuto will published on DVD as part of Huuto’s anniversary celebrations.
The 10 video works from 10 years DVD offers a cross-section of the video art exhibited at Galleria Huuto exhibitions and events. The compilation includes experimental and documentary films, collective projects and video installations from ten artists.
Over the past decade, cinema and video art have come closer to each other in terms of expression and audiovisual art has strengthened its position in the field of visual arts. Also the role and significance of video image has changed in general in our visual world. The amount of video footage added to the Internet every day would take 10 years to watch nonstop. Amid all this, the art of moving images is living, changing and constantly producing amazing works that everyone can explore, question, hate or love – as they wish. Galleria Huuto wishes you good moments watching these videos.
The publication has been curated by Maija Blåfield
