Galleria Huuto is inviting artists to apply for the autumn season 2017.
The deadline for the applications is the 19th of September, 2016.
You can apply for both Galleria Huuto Jätkäsaari and Galleria Huuto Uudenmaankatu.
Galleria Huuto is an artist-run gallery with two exhibition venues in Helsinki. The exhibitions will run
for three weeks each. The exhibition fees for Jätkäsaari Jätkä 1 and Jätkä 2 are 1450 €
and for Uudenmaankatu 1500 €. The fees are based directly on costs (non-profit principle), thus minor
changes are possible. For sales there is no commission. The fees include posters, invitation cards and
postage. The exhibitions are supervised jointly by the gallery staff and the exhibiting artists.
Exhibition fee for the Pikkujätkä in Jätkäsaari is 550 € which includes a video projector/player and
invitations via e-mail. Pikkujätkä suits especially for video pieces and small installations. The room is
also available for project work. The application for Pikkujätkä is continuosly open and we try to keep some
exhibition slots available.
You can send an application most preferably by e-mail and in one pdf-file. The application should include curriculum vitae, an informal exhibition proposal and some examples of current / previous works. The size of the message with
attachments must not exceed 4 MB.
Applications may also be sent by post, with for example a portfolio (size A4) or a CD / DVD, but e-mail
applications make the jury’s work easier. When sent by post from Finland, the postmark of the application
deadline is sufficient. When sent from abroad, the application must be delivered at the address below by
the application deadline.
The applications for the autumn 2017 must be sent by 19.9.2016.

The jury is formed from the member artists of Galleria Huuto and varies with each application period.
