Art Fair Suomi Goes Galleries

Art Fair Suomi Goes Galleries kicks off the visual arts summer of Helsinki in June 2021. The festival will spread across galleries and exhibition spaces in Helsinki. A joint effort by more than 20 Helsinki-based art galleries, the festival features work by nearly 100 artists.
Visit the exhibitions on your own or choose from many guided tours, discussions, workshops and other events. All exhibitions and nearly all events are free of charge, and many of them can also be attended virtually.

We will have shows from Okko Pöyliö, Kaisa Jussila, Tapio Haapala and Marjo Levlin on display. On Tuesday 8 June and Wednesday June 9 our door is open until 7 pm, welcome!

In Finnish. Start from Hippolyte, Yrjönkatu 8–10, at noon, ends in Gallery Pirkko-Liisa Topelius at 3 pm.

HELSINKI ART WALK

We will start at MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre at Cable Factory, with an exhibition by Jan Lütjohann. We will also visit Elina Brotherus studio at Cable Factory.
Next galleries will be Gallery Pirkko-Liisa Topelius with Aaron Hermunen’s exhibition, and Galleria Huuto with 4 soloshows: Okko Pöyliö, Kaisa Jussila, Marjo Levlin and Tapio Haapala.

Students from Eidos organizes exhibition tours based on movement for preschoolers. Eidos is a subject organization for art history students at University of Helsinki.
The Art Fair Suomi contemporary art festival has been organised since 2005 by Artists’ Association MUU and Association of Photographic Artists in Finland. Other national artist membership organisations that joined the festival in 2020 are: Association of Finnish Sculptors, Association of Finnish Printmakers, Finnish Painters’ Union, and the Union of Finnish Art Associations.
