In the exhibition Desire Marika Holm and Synnöve Rabb examine the human need to find a meaning in the seemingly meaningless, an apparantly creative process. Synnöve Rabb’s videoinstallation Position deals with different ways of relating to the surrounding world by showing positions used in a spiritual context. The main theme in Marika Holm’s painting is the investigation of the magical thinking in visual arts, and the artist’s position and problems in this process. Can a work of art become a talisman?
