Hanna Laeslehto
Bananas, pastries and a fine snake
30 April–23 May 2021
Galleria Huuto is open on May Day (1st of May) from 12-5pm, welcome!
Please enter from the Kalevankatu 43 inner yard.
The exhibition features wooden sculptures painted with acrylics. The larger works have been sculpted using a chainsaw and the smaller ones with an axe.
Many of the works in the exhibition are made up of pieces. The parts are like Lego blocks, creating new works when rearranged. The works are complete in a way, yet always changing when they are put on display as the pieces are put together and new entities are created.
The works are playful combinations of colors and shapes. Sometimes they are clustered in the corners, sometimes they are on the walls. The bananas, pastries and the fine snake could be one larger work or three separate works.
Hanna Laeslehto is an artist who works with sculpture and painting. Laeslehto’s works are often momentary, changing and playful.
