Photographer Noora Geagea is exhibiting her latest works at Galleria Huuto in Jätkäsaari between 2–20 January 2013. Geagea has photographed portraits of people and later painted over them with oil paint. Finally, she has photographed the work. The exhibition INTERDEPENDENT consists of six independent works.
In breaking the form of a photograph, Geagea has created another moment or at least an image of another time concept in a photograph. This creates new meanings in a photograph.
“The name of the exhibition is a reference not only to the interdependence between the photograph and oil paint but also between the subjects in the photographs and myself”, Geagea explains.
Her work hails from different time periods in Finland and abroad.
