Kaarina Haka
Galleria Huuto Uudenmaankatu
16.4.–27.4.2008
I pick forms and colors from materials I’m interested in, such as rags, yarn and thread, foam plastic, chicken wire and ordinary wire, and scrap plastic. I recycle my old works as material, too. Tinkering around with these materials, I create details and think about the features of a painting; its colors, light, transparency, and rhythm. The gallery premises serve as the basis for a whole that is born during the hang-up. Attached with thin lines, the parts of the work dangle in the air, and the entity is in constant change. From outside, through the window, the installation can be seen as a more strictly outlined show, perhaps like a painting.
The opening will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at 6–8 pm.
Welcome!
