The sea is like a massive animal in eternal sleep, deeply sighing… It breaths in the landscapes of sounds of my paintings, framing my works with dusk and allure. In my mind, the frames are like postcards featuring my inner sea for which I long.
I paint inspired by mental pictures; I imagine the scenes and the characters. It reflects a mood or situation I’m not able to put into words, but might attain in my paintings.
The exhibition consists of several small acrylic and oil paintings. I usually have a precise vision of what I’m going to paint. By the time I’ve reached my studio, I’ve painted a lot in my mind already, and the actual painting process becomes a spontaneous outburst.
