In his solo exhibition in Huuto Gallery Antti-Ville Reinikainen examines ways to transgress existential anxiety.
There’s a blend of fine subletly and harsh crudeness in his works but also a hint of black humor. In series of water color works the houses have had hits to their exterior. At the same time, between heavy looking sets there’s subtle pondering about the desperate human need for the wholeness.
Antti-Ville Reinikainen works with spatial works and paintings. With his art he tries to achieve multi-layerness and to create something intimate and penetrating. He tries to make them like some fountains of new ideas and feelings, so it’s always possible to come back and find something new.
