Nausea

Multi-channel video installation, sound
Sound Design by Vincent Masse
Among the limited number of books I’ve read in my life, Nausea stands out as one of the strangest. Yet, it has stayed with me over the years, resonating in unexpected ways. Perhaps this mirrors how we exist—not by knowing why, what, when, but through how: the act of making and continuing.
The artistic process often unfolds unpredictably, with its highs and lows existing in parallel. I find myself caught between these spaces, wrestling with the essence of creation and its elusive direction. In the emptiness of a white studio, I searched for another way of thinking: What is it? When is it? How is it? Where is it? With no answers in sight, all I could do was carry on.
This exhibition presents three artworks that intertwine performance, creation, and my lens-based perspective to explore endless questions of what, when, where, and how. From mimicking an artwork to seeking a way out within the meaning of existence as an artist, I continue to create and navigate the unknown.
